ORDER OF CONSTANTINE
Created by the Fraternity in 1948, the Order of Constantine is the highest honor an individual member can receive. It recognizes members who have performed outstanding service to Sigma Chi in a manner the Founders would have commended. Their dedication to service within the Fraternity is exemplary. These are brothers to whom long-time Grand Historian, Joseph C. Nate, often referred to as the "Eighth Founders."
Of the more than 250,000 men initiated into Sigma Chi fewer than 500 have received this honor. A maximum of 14 brothers are named each year and there are less than 200 living members. Members of the Order are known as Constantine Sigs.
