Why are Sigma
Chis so successful in their personal and professional lives?
This is a 150-year-old question that can be answered fairly
easily:
Our stated goal is to "develop
VALUES-BASED LEADERS committed
to the betterment of
character, campus and community."
But what makes
values-based leaders different from other
leaders? Many ambitious people are motivated by greed,
a need for recognition, or fear of failure.
A Sigma Chi is
also ambitious, but is directed by a strong set of core values.
He is motivated to serve others and achieve noble outcomes. He is often acclaimed by others,
though he does not need recognition. Most importantly,
his core values allow him to be confident in his decisions, resolute when
confronted with adversity, and adept at inspiring the best from
those around him.
For these
reasons, Sigma Chis are found in more leadership roles than
any other fraternity or student group:
"I'M
INTERESTED. WHAT NEXT?"
Believe it or
not, you've already spent the first 18+ years of your life
determining whether or not you're right for Sigma Chi.
Your values, work ethic, and character are pretty much
ingrained in you. If you are a high-minded man who
possesses the minimum requirements for membership described in our
Jordan Standard and are committed to becoming a values-based
leader, we want to meet you.
Whether you
choose Sigma Chi or any other fraternity it is imperative
that you learn as much about the preferred organization as
possible. As such, the following pages are designed
