Scholarship

First and foremost, you are in college for an education.  A degree will advance your career exponentially.  For that reason we encourage our members to excel academically and reward brothers for their achievements and work ethic.  During the weekday there are mandatory “Quiet Hours” at the chapter house and study hours for brothers who are not able to maintain the minimum 2.75 GPA.

Locally, brothers are eligible for approximately $6,500 in Annual Scholarships awarded through our White Rose Scholarship.  This scholarship is funded through donations from local Sigma Chi alumni, with annual payout amounts reflecting the interest earned during the year—not principal.

Undergraduate and graduate brothers also benefit from the largest and most innovative foundation in the Greek-letter world: The Sigma Chi Foundation.  Founded, managed and funded by Sigma Chi alumni, the Foundation paid out over $2.7 million in scholarships, grants and other educational activities last year, and spent $2.1 million on development and management programs for undergraduates.  All undergraduate members of Sigma Chi are eligible.
